Sometimes wigs can’t even be styled like that, yo.
I suppose that’s part of it too. I mean when I styled my Jane wig, I had a reference open, but honestly I just went with what I thought was cute, and what was flattering on my face. I’d rather do something like that than get weird about having it absolutely perfectly canon. I don’t even do that with my Rose wigs.
If a piece of Roxy art has her with cute curly hair people will fawn all over it (with good reason because that’s adorable), but if a cosplayer tried to pull that they’d probably get a lot of shit for it.
Even if curly hair just happened to be the person’s headcanon, or if they just flat out looked better with curly hair.
I don’t know it’s just something to consider when judging people’s cosplays, I guess.
I realized the other day that so many things that are acceptable in art aren’t acceptable in cosplay for whatever reason.
Their hairstyle is different in art = oh wow it’s so stylized and cool!
In cosplay = lazy wig styling/not adhering to canon/wow you don’t even care!
An accent colour is different in art= oh wow it’s so stylized and cool!
In cosplay= wow do you not know how to dye fabric/lazy/wow you don’t even care!
I get that people can be lazy sometimes but sometimes people change things just because they like the style more. As long as they like it I don’t see why it has to be that big of a problem.
I’m laughing because someone started following me on my RP blog, and when I went to their about page, it was like “I don’t ship any crack ships, and while I judge those who do, I keep those opinions to myself.”

AHahaha no. Especially not during the summer. It would kill me. I’ll stick with the short blonde/lavender thing, at least until the fall.
Ugh, I have been so terrible at showing emotion lately. It’s not that I have been in a bad mood, it’s just that exhibiting emotion externally is so draining for me. Lately I guess I’ve just reverted to my “neutral” face, which once again is making people think that I’m pissed off.
I’m not pissed off. This is just how my face looks when I don’t feel like exerting the energy required to plaster on a smile and act all chipper.
I’m perfectly happy right now. Just because I don’t look it doesn’t mean I’m not.
